  PIEDMONT TENNIS PROGRAM - SUMMER 2008
Piedmont is happy to once again offer a tennis program for their junior and adult tennis players of all skill level. The tennis programs are held at the two lit outdoor hard courts located next to the Piedmont Fitness Center. Key elements of the new tennis programs include: Superior tennis instruction from a United Stated Professional Tennis Association certified teaching professional; more personal instruction due to a small camper-to-instructor ratio; players carefully grouped with other players of similar skill and ability levels; and a fun and spirited teaching format. Kiddie Tennis!
Come bring your kids for Kiddie Tennis Monday and Wednesdays from 7:30–8:15 p.m. at the Piedmont tennis courts. Your kids will play and learn basic beginning tennis with Jill, Marta and Luisa. Its fun, its close, and its FREE. (Kiddie Tennis will be offered as long as the weather permits)
   
 
   
 

INTERACTIVE STORY TIME!
Tuesday/Thursdays @ The Athletic club 9:30-10:15 am

Kids dress up and are involved in story time. Some story lines include Pirates, Princesses, Cowboys and Music. Children will be given time to interact, color and hear stories. Remember to remind your children to use the bathroom before you arrive and not to bring toys. (Feel free to allow children to dress up as their favorite character in the stories
we are reading, call ahead to find out what story we are reading)
Basic costumes will be provided.

Fall Swim Team

The Piedmont Tsunamis will be starting Fall Swim Team in September.
Piedmont Tsunamis win their division!
The Piedmont Tsunamis capped a tremendous season by winning the Prince William Swim League’s 2008 Orange Division championship
during a meet held on Saturday, July 26 at Veteran’s Memorial Swim Park. The team, under the leadership of Head Coach, Joey Bruno, posted a 5 -1 record during the regular season.
Congratulations to all of our swimmers for their hard work and dedication throughout the season!

How to register for classes and events at the Athletic Club

1. Pick your class and remember to look at date, time, and age
(3 and up classes must be potty trained)
2. Fill out registration form - you may pick one up at the office or print one out here:

3. Return form with payment 7 days prior to the start of class. Registration will not be confirmed without payment. All classes are on a first come first serve basis.
4. Some classes permit pro-rating, but not all. Refunds are only given when classes are cancelled and not made up.
5. Payment can be by check (made out to WTS International, unless noted) or by credit card

Classes listed below are included in your HOA dues and are at no extra cost. You do not need to pre-register, just show up and begin to get fit and have fun!!

Interactive Story Times

Kids hear stories while being involved in music, dance or the story line.
Bring your kids to have a great time and build an imagination.
TIMES: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:15am

Body Chisel
This is an aerobic class utilizing weights, resista-bands and stability balls. This is a high impact, intense class that will get your heart rate moving to sculpt and tone your muscles.
Try the class out and see if Sandy can get you into shape!
TIMES: Wednesday, 5:15 pm and Friday, 9:00 am

YOGA

Hatha Yoga based for beginners and intermediate participants. This class
will strengthen your mind, body and spirit.
You will gain strength, flexibility and breath control.
TIMES: Wednesday and Friday 7:45-8:45 am and Tuesday and Thursday 7:30-8:30 pm

Muscle Conditioning

This class will increase your heart rate and make those muscles burn. The total body conditioning (including abdominal exercises) is a great class to add variety!
TIMES: Monday 9:15 am

Aqua Aerobics - Wednesday 6:00PM & Saturday 10:00AM
This one hour class is a fun, refreshing way to get a good workout. An energetic alternative to lap swimming! Emphasis on cardio, muscle strengthening, core stabilization and flexibility for the active adult. Come ready to work hard and have fun! Participants are encouraged to work at their own pace. Swim shoes recommended but NOT REQUIRED.
TIMES: Wednesday, 6:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am

Step Aerobics
Increase your aerobic capacity, muscle strength, and endurance. This class combines stepping and resistance training for the ultimate workout. For all fitness levels!
TIMES: Wednesday 9:15 am

Pilates
Using the Pilates mat program, this class will strengthen and tone muscles while improving posture, flexibility and balance. Body awareness and control of movement are achieved by focusing on the abdominal, gluteal and back muscles.
TIMES: Monday 6:30 pm

Progressive Water Fitness
This alternative to land exercise provides minimal impact on joints and maximizes mobility. This class will travel the length of the pool, utilizing both shallow and deep water techniques, focusing on four main components of fitness: cardiovascular strength, muscular strength, flexibility, and balance/ coordination. All are welcome, as
instructor modifications are available to fit all fitness levels.
TIMES: Mon/Wed/Fri, 9:00 am

Boot Camp
30 minute total body work out in a boot camp style for women. This class will take place outdoors and provide a total body work out. Rain or shine!
TIMES: Tuesday, 7:00 am and Thursday, 9:30 am
